Whakaari / White Island emits ash plume

Whakaari/White Island Volcano has been emitting an ash plume since early this morning, which reached the Bay of Plenty coast around 1pm. This ash plume is unlikely to create any ashfall on the ground. Alert level remains at 2 as per the GeoNet update.
