A strong G2 geomagnetic storm arrived over New Zealand early this morning, which originated from a solar flare on 9th October followed by a coronal mass ejection soon after. Significant Auroras were seen in the Northern Hemisphere regions, with cloud cover affecting observations across New Zealand and parts of Australia. Tasmania was the best spot within this region with the storm peaking just after midnight NZT.
